Mrs. Graham's Pistachio Salad*
1 (3 ounce) package of instant pistachio pudding mix
1 (12 ounce) tub of imitation whipped cream (thawed)
1 cup of miniature marshmallows
1 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple with juice
1 cup of chopped walnuts (or whatever nuts you like; pecans work well too)
3 bananas, sliced
Fold together the pudding mix and imitation whipped cream
Add rest of ingredients and refrigerate at least six hours.
(Cottage cheese--about a cup or two--could be added to this.)
(I often leave out the 3 bananas and/or the marshmallows.)
This is what I like about this recipe--it is versatile--you can add and/or subtract ingredients, and the salad still turns out.
